The grant will assist us to coordinate our local Green Schools Events over the next year and to showcase them on an upcoming Virginia ‘Connect the Dots for Schools’ website. We’ll let you know more as these exciting efforts unfold over the next several months!

Be a Mentor.. .

The USGBC-SWVA Chapter is challenging qualified SW Virginia businesses and individuals to mentor local schools to devise and implement the most creative, effective and no or low cost sustainable practices for their schools. The official launch of the Green Schools Challenge will be at our Annual Connect the Dots Program at the Claude Moore Center in Roanoke, Virginia. And May 1, 2011, a Green Schools Challenge Display and Awards Ceremony will be held at the Hotel Roanoke, in conjunction with the Virginia Association of School Superintendents Conference.
